Another one with the lovely Atom Studio, expanding on a short piece that Chris had already done a few months before.

With the initial shop envinronment already outlined by Chris, my task was to design and animate three new 3D mini sets-within-a-set; a doctor’s waiting room, a pharmacy and a recovery room. Each environment had to animate from nothing, and it can be an easy trap to fall back on the same methods for each item, so special attention was given to making sure each element had a life and personality of it’s own. One of the last elements of the project to be built was the dynamics of the foil breaking and tearing as each character stepped out, which required a fair amount of R&D! White environments can be deceptively tricky to light, but ended up creating a wonderful contrast to the richly-coloured characters.
